You can do a propane tank if you need protection from not having fuel storage on site. It really depends on how big a generator you need. NG gets expensive when you need very high capacity generation. Your landlord may reconsider if he hears what you have to do to get 2MW of NG on the roof.

I know the one good thing about NG: no fuel storage, and the bad thing
about NG: no fuel storage.
