In the best tradition of comp.risks - what are the risks associated with
putting more than "N" alarms into a single (even is reliable) piece of
equipment. Maybe what should be more important is "price per port" and
the level of remote access / integration available.

Even the consideration of locating many small alarm aggregation devices
around a facility has its advantages.
