Cool Job Opening in Africa!

Adventure! Action! Travel!

I've got a job opening in Nigeria. You'd be based in Lagos, but
there would be travel to other offices in Abuja, Port Harcourt,
Enugo, and Owerri.

Skills:

-Windows95 troubleshooting skills
-Tech support experience
-Linux administration skills
-Network administration experience

You'd report to me and be in charge of helping set up and run the
engineering operations of a wireless ISP in Nigeria. This includes
the support desk, along with system and network administration duties.
C/Perl experience would be a plus. HTML skills an even bigger plus.
You'll be the engineering manager, and have a staff of local techies
reporting to you.

The company is growing quickly. It's well funded, and is about to
recieve an enormous infusion of money from a foreign investor who
aims to build the biggest telecommunications company in Africa,
serving Nigeria and other countries with Internet, Cable TV, and
cellular services. In other words, you'd be in on the ground floor
of a company that's about to explode.

Pay is US$30k, which if you live outside of the US for a year (300
days, I think?) is 75% tax free. Living and transportation expenses
handled by the company. You'll be in a US-style apartment with 24-hour
security. Having a percentage ownership in the company is also a
possibility. $30k might not sound like a lot, but when you consider
your expenses will be almost nil (dinner for 7 with 13 bottles of
Guinness costs US$6.00) and your pay is just going to accumulate
in the bank, it's not bad at all.

And hey- you'll be working for me, so what could be better? :-)
