Re: RE: Does this not concern anyone?

The man has had FOUR heart attacks, one of which came _after_ corrective bypass surgery.

FDR's wheelchair was not a life threatening condition, nor is getting blowjobs from your intern.. in fact.. that's probably good for your health.. well - guess that all depends on the intern.. We should conduct a study. Wonder if we can get federal grant money? Reagan was a veg' before the end of his term, and nobody was happy about that. There will never be another Taft, because we have a much better understanding of health now than then.

So yes - we should indeed take health into concern when electing high power officials, much like you wouldn't hire a 90 year old, neither should you hire someone with the same likely lifespan as a 90 year old.

watch the flood come through.

Hey, we've had a president who weighed 400 pounds (Taft), a president in a
wheelchair (FDR), a presidents who forget all kinds of stuff in front of
Congress (Ronald Reagan and George Bush), a president who flat-out lied to
the people of this country and wagged his disapproving finger in our face
(Clinton)... Why can't we just get over it?

If he croaks in office, he croaks in office. If he and George W. win the
election, they win the election! He chose to run, and if the stress kills
him, so be it.

http://www.cnn.com/2000/ALLPOLITICS/stories/11/29/cheney.checkup/

"The 59-year-old former congressman, defense secretary
and White House chief had suffered three previous heart
attacks over a period of more than 22 years and underwent
quadruple coronary bypass surgery in 1988."

Somehow.. I doubt that the Secret Service will spend as much effort
defending him. ;)
