[mob] Fwd: blind date???

Any suggestions on a response? [email protected] gets some strange mail.

Hi Heather,

What a pretty name! I also understand that you have a beautiful new baby
girl. CONGRATULATIONS!!! I hope you and Olivia had a very special first
Christmas together. I know things are probably a little tough for you right
now (especially this time of year...I was divorced on 12/22/98...the night
of the huge ice storm :) But I assure you, life will be just fine and
before you know it.

Vicki says that you are currently separated but might be open, at some
point, to a "blind" date with me? It wouldn't surprise me if that scares
you a little bit at this point in your life. Believe me, I understand if it
does. I have heard some wonderful things about you and really look forward
to meeting you. She also tells me that you are in the "hospitality"
business and are very interested in the culinary profession. I know a lot
about locating, designing and constructing Culinary Arts Centers but,
admittedly, am not that proficient at cooking. I actually enjoy it but find
very little time for it and besides, cooking for one is not easy. Maybe you
and I could go to some of our classes at the Memphis VCAC sometimes. That
would be fun, if you promise not to laugh :) Believe it or not, I used to
own a specialty business which designed and built very nice, high end
kitchens. My kitchen is fantastic, but I'm seldom at home.

I travel quite extensively, mostly in the U.S., managing the development of
our VCACs. We are really just getting started, having opened stores in
Memphis, Nashville, Dallas, Philly and Atlanta, and we are currently
building VCACs in New York and St. Louis. My architect and national real
estate broker are both from Memphis, Viking has an apartment in the same
building as the downtown VCAC, and I typically fly in and out of Memphis.
It's a really fun job and I'm in Memphis so often that I recently bought a
loft downtown. I haven't had time to buy furniture or decorate, but my goal
is to have it finished by the end of March.

Enough about me. I would love to know more about you. I use a digital
camera very often in my business, so to spare you the anxiety of a "blind"
date, I have attached a picture of me with my Memphis architect and his
wife. Here's wishing you and Olivia a fantastic 2003!

Jim
