If you like TV, you'll want this ReplayTV thing

This new ReplayTV thing is basically a bunch of hard drive space and an
intelligent agent that records shows based on your criteria settings and
viewing patterns. You can pause a show you're watching in real-time, talk
on the phone for 10 minutes, and then resume watching the recorded copy
while it's still recording the broadcast.

Comes with 6 hours of recording time for $995 and you can get up to 20 hours.
