Re: Pepsi vs. Coke..

Baron,

I read the article about that high school kid in the AJC today.

He really got in trouble when he ruined a school picture, where students
were arranged to spell out C-O-K-E. Hello? A school pep rally for
Coca-Cola. If I get this right, if the school won the contest, they would
receive a measly $500. Am I wrong to say that students shouldn't be
marched into a pep rally to get excited about a PRODUCT for $500. I
thought school was for learning.

I must be wrong because according to this high school, it's about
consumerism and the power of the weak over children.

See that's what it's all about. This kid wore a shirt, which was a silent,
subversive action against the school. God forbid you let that slippery
slope of free thought start. Get out the scantron test.

But this is exactly like my high school that lengthened the school say 15
minutes so we could watch canned 3 day old news and tons of commericals on
Channel 1. For this the school got 21 inch TVs in each classroom.
