Magneto-Optical Drive

I am planning to purchase a Deltis 3.5 inch magneto-optical drive for
backups. The rest of our LAN is DOS/Windoze/Novell, I use a mac and
linux. Our IMS department is none too reliable, and my files are
critical. The drive is a SCSI device, and should work fine, but can
anyone confirm this? I know it will work on my mac, I just need to be
very sure that I'll be able to backup that linux box.
