You should recompile your present kernel with GCC-2.6.3 as a.out and
include the ELF support option that allows the kernel to run ELF binaries.
Alternatively you could compile 2.0 with 2.6.3 as a.out and also include
support for ELF binaries in that. Then once you get some kernel with
support for ELF binaries you can upgrade your system to an ELF compiler
and libraries.
