[ale] SCSI card and CD-RW

I have inserted a Adaptec 2930U2 into my Linux Box.  Also, I have connected
a Yamaha(LACIE) CD-RW to the external DB-50(HD) connector.  I have build
the kernel(2.2.9) with SCSI support , SCSI CD-ROM's, and generic support.
It does not detect the card or any of devices.  Any ideas of what to do or
build into the kernel so this thing will work?
