Yes, I've installed it on a DEC Alpha XL266.

First, upgrade your Alphabios if it's old so it can boot another OS.  (Mine
came setup to boot NT). BTW, I wiped NT off.

Redhat's instructions will work for the most part but it is a bit confusing.  

I'm not really happy with Redhat so I am thinking of switching to SuSE's Alpha
Linux.  (Redhat doesn't come with xemacs and a few other programs I use a lot.)
