[ale] Linux wont boot

ok heres the problem i downloaded linux redhat 6.0 and installed it off a 
hard drive after instalation lilo begins to boot linux the words loading 
linux..... apears on the screen and then it just freezes up cold, i tried 
running the boot disk and it had the same effect, iv tried reinstalling 
redhat no effect. can some one please help me!
