Greetings,Got a problem here that I think I
have figured out what is causing it.?? What I don't know is where to find
what I need to fix the problem.?? Here is the problem that I am
having:
??
On a Red Hat 6.2 system with kernel 2.2.16-RAID
when I try to run the command 'clear' I get a segmentation fault (core
dump).?? Thanks to some assistance from Danny Cox I thought the problem was
with my terminfo settings.?? The problem was initially detected when
telneting (or rlogin) from an IRIS workstation.?? I would get the
message:
?????? ?????? No entry for
terminal type "iris-ansi-net"However I am getting the segmentation with all
terminals settings whether I am local or remotely logged in.?? I still
thought the problem was a terminfo problem and when I try to use infocmp to see
the settings from the database I get ?????? ??????
??infocmp: error in loading shared libraries: infocmp: undefined symbol:
_nc_user_definableSo I am figuring that when clear looks to the terminfo
database it is causing some type of similar error and causing the segmentation
fault.
??
So my question is,.. what libraries did I forget to
install??? So for clear has been the only thing that has been giving me a
problem.?? Man pages didn't help me a great deal and I can't seem to find
anything on the web.?? Anyone got any ideas???
??
Thanks,Jeff
