[ale] Modules not found!?

I compiled and installed a new kernel (2.4.9 on SuSE 7.0) the same way I
always have but certain modules (route, firewall,...) could not be
found.  This is my first recompile on SuSE but I have done the kernel
thing a few times.  It may just be a SuSE thing.

Any hints, ideas, suggestions,...would be appreciated.
