[ale] web-email solution?

Can anybody recommend a web-based e-mail solution for apache-ssl that
interoperates with one's existing UNIX mail processing?  Preferably
available in Debian pkg format?  And free/open-source/high-level of
customization?

Basically, I want to remotely access my home PC mbox mail in spite of
any firewalls that block outgoing non-web services (like the one at my
office).
