[ale] apache-ssl problem

I have purchased and installed certificates per the provided instructions.
I start httpsd and then do a ps aux which shows httpsd -DSSL which should
indicate the ssl server is running. When I try to view my domain by using
https://my_domain.com I recieve a page cannot be displayed error. This is
a copy of the error from the /var/log/httpd/error_log-ssl file;
[Thu Jan  4 12:47:36 2001] [notice] child pid 27256 exit signal
Segmentation fault (11)
Even doing a port scan shows port 443 as listening.
Any Suggestions?
