[ale] Iomega Zip 250 parallel support?

OK, so now I'm trying to back off approx. 228 MB worth of stuff onto,
appropriately enough, an Iomega Zip 250 (more storage than the original
Zip) hooked up through a parallel cable. I'm running a late test of the
2.4 kernel (2.4.0-test13-pre4 if you must know). I've loaded the paride
module (through modprobe, which loads in the basic par. support as well)
and the ide-floppy driver. What am I missing?

I've seen some notes on www.torque.net, as well as the mini-HOWTO, but both
appear to be horribly out of date.
