[ale] wine and gnome

ok wine is complaining it doesnt have its config file,
and well i cant log out of debian gnome.. well i can
log out but i cant find out how to shut down the
system or get out of the gui, and i dont want gnome i
want kde.. it has kde apps so i think kde is installed
but... how do i switch? i couldnt find a switch
button... this on a debian woody system any help would
be greatly appreciated :)
