[ale] SMB browsing under KDE

Is is possible to browse windows networks in KDE. I saw the 'lan://' url
support in KDE but it seems to be its own breed and not SMB.  At least
it can not connect to any of my hosts.  I have no problem using
'smbclient -L'.
