Thanks for the pointer. I tried yesterday when something along the way was
throttled and got a stunning[!] 17.5 KBy/sm but this morning it ticked
along at about _135_ and now I have the dog in my back yard. That is about
2X what I get from most servers.

Now I need some cheap PPC Mac. Any ALEr stepping forward?
