[ale] Hardware firewalls & Bastille ?

If I do a router/firewall combo, do I config Bastille as well,? Or do I 
even need a a hardware firewall with Bastille installed ? Asking for more 
probs than what it's worth by using 2 ? Or more is better ?  :-)
