[ale] GTK Customizations / gtkrc

Hello, ALE. 

I've recently modified a gtkrc file for customizing the appearence of GTK
apps, but I can't seem to find a good resource online for how these files
work. Specifically, I'm trying to eliminate the black, single-pixel line
that appears between list items. 

If anyone knows how to do the above, or knows of a good resource on how to
play with gtkrc files, I'd appreciate the info. Thanks.
