I've got to admit, I'm quite baffled.  I've no experience with ME, but I 
do have a win95 and win98 machine on my current network, and they work 
fine.  I've even got win2k on vmware working and can access the network 
from it as well.

I wonder whether this is an ME issue?

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
