[ale] Apache Rewrite rules

I have a rewrite rule setup in my httpd.conf file. The rule works fine
as long as I refer to the server as the host name. If I refer to the
server by IP address the rewrite rule doesn't seem to get called. I have
tried to play around with setting up VirtualHost and declaring Rewrite
conditions, but those don't seem to help. Anyone else have a clue?
