[ale] I can get my modem to work in linux and this is my first linux i have used

ok i have been reading the post people have been putting when i posted on 
the 30th ok im using a AOpen FM56-PM modem and linux dont see it it ran in 
windows and i have checked to see if it is a winmodem it is not and when i 
go to dail my ISP it dont even turn on it says my modem i busy.
