[ale] my gui or your gui?

um... so theres no free, xfree like products? ... what
files are required to get xfree up to the point of
typeing 'startx' and it running? im using debian...
and wondering how much is fluff and how much is
needed..... i can run tasksel for the gui but.. it
downloads a lot of stuff.. and i just dont see why it
needs all that? maybe im expecting too much from
xfree?
