[ale] Selling Linux (fwd)

I am about to meet a possible customer to do some inventory tracking
software.  They are a Lumber yard so of course they do not have any such
thing as an IT staff.  They want Windows but I want to suggest Linux.
How can a customer with almost zero IT training be sold on Linux.  How
would I go about supporting the customer (in a different city no less).
