I have a nice little utility which writes a hash to a dbm file (mandrake 8.0) using NDBM_File. The key/values byte size can be quite large. The keys are three characters and the value may include 60, 000 charactes. Linux and NDBM_File have no issues.
I need to port the thing to HPUX. The good news is it runs fine. The bad news is it errors out (too many bytes in the value) and stops dead. I have experimented with SDBM_File on NT and get the identical error. The documentation tells me to expect it. Is there any HPUX DBM solution out there? I don't know the pedigree of NDBM_File on the HPUX box other than the the perl version is 5.003.
Any DBM/hash guys out there?
John
