[ale] system freezes and the Z

When using vncviewer to connect to my Zaurus, my system completely freezes
about one of every two times.  When I say freezes, I mean *everything*
locks up, not just X.  Only solution is to do a restart.

Has anyone else run into this using the vncviewer?  How would I go about
investigating this...it's kind of hard to debug a frozen system.  I've
used the java vncviewer applet successfully twice so far, and no lock up
yet.

Grateful for any advice...
