I *think* you can fix this DHCP problem by also including another line
in the /etc/sysconfig/network file like this:
DHCP_HOSTNAME=myhost.mydomain.myTLD
I know you need this for dynamic updates to DNS using DHCP server 3.x
and BIND 9.x, but I don't know about a Microsoft DHCP/DNS combo. Maybe?
