[ale] earthlink's nntp and "LIST ACTIVE"

Do Earthlink's NNTP servers support the LIST ACTIVE command?  I was just
trying to get slrn to create a earthlink .jnews-earthlink file and the
server doesn't seem to know what to do with the LIST ACTIVE command.
Any ideas?
