Hi Courtney,

   The 2944 is the HVD card, right?  Not sure on Debian to be specific, but it SHOULD work, since it's been supported in the aic7xxx driver for years.  This is the same driver used for the entire [23]9xx series of PCI HAs from Adaptec.
