[ale] Samba

I'm trying to get my samba setup working.  I'm going through the 
diagnostics.txt file .  I get to Test 8 where I do "net view 
\\SambaServer".  I get back
System error 53 has occurred.

The network path was not found.

even thought I've added my "SambaServer" to the lmhosts file.

The  log shows:
[2002/03/18 17:36:08, 0] lib/access.c:check_access(262)
  Denied connection from gates.csol.com (199.233.163.38)
[2002/03/18 17:36:08, 1] smbd/process.c:process_smb(611)
  Connection denied from 199.233.163.38

Ideas?
