[ale] Gnome2 and bonobo-activation-server

Sorry for the OT :)

here is the strange thing that I started experiencing on my Libranet
upgraded to debian unstable.
Gnome desktop will not come up. I get the splash screen, hear the music and
it stoppes.
What I found out works is killing bonobo-activation-server couple times
brings up the desktop.
but nautilus will not come up and any gtk app will not come up untill I kill
bonobo-activation-server.
I can not find any info on this anywhere ..... nothing in the logs ....
where to start diging ?
