[ale] Monitor goes into sleep mode

I'm running RH 7.1 and recently switched from KDE to Gnome desktop.
After a period of inactivity, my monitor goes into sleep mode. It
doesn't show a screen saver, it just powers down then will wake up again
when I move the mouse. I have searched in vain to find where the setting
is so I can disable this. I want my monitor to be awake all the time.
Can someone tell me how to do this?
