[ale] What are the major/minor #s for sr0 ?

Joe,

Thank you for your kind reply. I've seen your postings before and know 
you are quite busy as well as knowledgeable.

Hence, when the device [an NEC scsi cdrom] installs at bootup it is 
identified as sr0 but since posting, have discovered that, sr0 is 
deprecated in favor of scd0.

Also, it does work as scd0, but how is that.... if it is identified as 
sr0 by it's driver, [may be unanswerable due to lack of detail about 
driver function] ?
