USB mass storage support is explicitly provided.

The sad thing is that before my horrendous crash that wiped out
just about the entire distro, everything worked. After the
reinstall, all sorts of stuff doesn't work, or only sorta works.
Would you believe I cannot set the clock?!  It's running about
four minutes fast and the only way to reset it is to log out and
reboot so I can reach BIOS.
