Go to http://java.sun.com and download the latest JRE.  I'm not sure
what kind of distro you are using, but rule of thumb is that you should
install the JRE in /usr/java/jre1.4.1 (or whatever version you pick). 
The latest JRE is jre1.4.1_01.  Hope this helps.
