[ale] Firewall settings for ICQ

I'm trying to get ICQ running am having no luck with the real-time chat. I can send messages and 
receive them but when trying to establish a chat session it complains and suggests my firewall may 
be blocking it. Unfortunately the ICQ docs don't tell me what ports I need to open. Meanwhile I'm 
running iptables on my firewall. Anyone able to tell me what ports I need to check and what's the 
best way to do this with iptables?
