Most of these problems come from the bizarre way that RedHat set up its menus
and links to shared files needed by the KDE applications. KDE will work much
better if you just compile it from source and dump the RedHat packages. In
RedHat's attempts to build a "unified" desktop, thay have done a great job of
mangling a system that already worked quite well.
