[ale] Konqueror can't see https sites

Our IT department recently turned off all access to the web except through 
the proxy.  I think that is a reasonable thing to do, but it has broken 
konqueror.

Konq works fine for regular http sites, but sites using ssl it can't 
connect to.  I have set it to use the proxy (same as http).  The proxy is 
just squid running on a RH box.

Mozilla has no trouble connecting, so I don't think it is the proxy.

Any suggestions?
