[ale] Split Cat5

I would like to split a 10Base-T Cat 5 run into 2 ports at the end.  I seen
these devices that can be purchased.  Can soneome tell me how to make one? 
I assume this will only work with 10Base-T on hubs and not switches and
100Base-T.
