[ale] OT: DDR and FSB speeds

My brother just ordered a new Intel mb and 2.4b p4 processor.  The board
has a 533mhz front-side bus.  The sales person told him that it would
support ram higher than PC2100, but it would only really take advantage of
PC2100 ram speed.

I thought one of the points of having a fast fsb is that it can take
advantage of fast ram speeds.  I have a machine that has a 233mhz fsb
(Athlon), and it supports PC2100.  What am I misunderstanding here?
