It seems that the command is using a network address(10.10.1.120) as the gateway address. Looking at your output, 10.10.1.122 is the gateway to the 10.10.1.120 network

C:\>route add 10.10.1.0 MASK 255.255.255.0 10.10.1.120 METRIC 1


try: route add 10.10.1.0 MASK 255.255.255.0 10.10.1.122 METRIC 1
