[ale] FC2 soundcard reinstall

I'm running FC2 on a P4 2.8ghz with onboard sound.  Everytime I reboot
the system the sound doesn't work until I use the "detect soundcard"
feature from the menu.  Once I do this it works fine.  How can I make
the system detect it on boot?

Note: This is not the hardware FC2 was originally installed on, I had
a MB go bad so I upgraded the MB and processor.  I don't have the
motherboard specs with me.  It was a microcenter special from a month
or so ago.
