I had something like this a while back, a friend sent me this:
Turn it on, be in the console at 9600, do a control break
at the > prompt do i/o 0x2142
then do "i" or "reset"
when its ready do enter
enable
write erase
reload
change config-reg back to 2102
and you will be blank. ;p
This page is a lot more in depth write up on it though
