You're certainly welcome to bring it, but I am by no means a grub expert 
and I have very limited experience with add-on ide cards.  Personal 
experience, they just work.

After the presentation, we always have a discussion time for such 
issues, so you might find some assistance then.  I'm always up with 
tinkering with hardware. :)
