Dunno about design decisions, etc, but I was looking for something fairly
basic and a friend pointed out Feed on Feeds :

Server side aggregation, web based viewing/client, so you can actually
just check your feeds whenever &amp; wherever .  Satisfies my needs, but I'm
not precisely heavy duty here
