Job Duties:    SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR (Linux)  

                        

This critical, highly visible position requires strong technical skills and
desire to learn, investigate new technologies, processes, and standards -
along with a winning team attitude.  This position requires strong Linux
Administration skills utilizing RedHat Enterprise Linux 3 and (optionally)
some experience with Windows 2000 Server.  


The ideal candidate works responsibly on tasks with limited supervision.
Follows standard practices and procedures to analyze, debug, and modify
environments which host networked applications (i.e., Web Servers, Java
Application Servers, Database and File Servers, etc).  

                                                

Must be available to be on-call and be prepared to work outside of normal
business hours under certain circumstances.  

                                                

Must understand risk management practices and how they apply to service
level agreements.  

                        

Required Skills: 

*	Must have (3+) years experience RedHat Linux System Administration
(RedHat 9 or Fedora)  

*	Expert Linux systems administration in production application
environment  

*	Strong scripting experience (PERL, UNIX Shell, SQL)  

*	Experience with Apache 2.0.X, PHP4, MySQL 2.0.x preferred  

*	Experience with Java application servers JBoss, Tomcat, WebLogic  

*	Operational familiarity with Oracle (9i/10g) Database Server on
Linux  

*	TCP/IP Network Admin /Troubleshooting 

                                                

Desired Skills: 

*	Oracle Database Server 10g  

*	Linux Administration in a clustered/load-balanced environment  

*	Database Replication  

*	Exchange Server  

*	W2K Active Directory 

                          

Non-Tech Skills: 

Self Starter  -  Reliable  -  Eager to learn  -  Team Player
