Now, the only two bits I'm not sure on are:
(1) What do I use in linux to do photoshop stuff/read photoshop files?
(2) Can I convert those WMA songs I've pulled off my CDs to something like
OGG, and if so how? And the followup of: What apps are there for playing
music?
/me hasn't had a sound card/speakers/etc on a linux box since 1997 when he
used it to play AU's as an alarm clock ...
